This privacy policy applies to all visitors and members of the Yahbo website, by continuing to visit or use the Yahbo website and services you are agreeing to Yahbo's "terms of use" and the privacy policy below.

We have a few fundamental principles here at

  • We don't store personally identifiable information (PII) on our servers unless required for the ongoing operation of one of our services.

  • We don't ask you for personally identifiable information (PII) unless we truly need it. (We can't stand services that ask you for things like your gender or income level for no apparent reason.)

Your privacy is critically important to us here at Yahbo and it's our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating the Yahbo website.

Website Visitors
Like most website operators, Yahbo collects non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Yahbo's purpose in collecting non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) is to better understand how visitors use the Yahbo website. From time to time, Yahbo may release non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII) in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of the Yahbo website.

Yahbo also collects potentially personally identifying information (PII) like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on the Yahbo website. We only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally identifying information (PII) as described below, except that blog/website commenter IP addresses and e-mail addresses are visible and disclosed to the admin's of the blog/website where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally Identifying Information (PII)
Certain visitors to the Yahbo website choose to interact with Yahbo in ways that require Yahbo to gather personally identifiable information (PII). The amount and type of information that Yahbo gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, visitors who sign-up for Yahbo's newsletter most generally only provide Yahbo with their name and email address. Aggregated Statistics
Yahbo may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors on the Yahbo website. For instance, Yahbo may monitor the most popular article or screen the activity of ads on the Yahbo website. Yahbo may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Yahbo does not disclose personally identifiable information (PII) other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally Identifying Information (PII)
Yahbo discloses personally identifying information (PII) only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (1) need to know that information in order to process it on Yahbo's behalf or to provide services available on the Yahbo website, and (2) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Yahbo website and services, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Yahbo will not rent or sell your personally identifying information (PII) to anyone without your consent. If you are a registered user of the Yahbo website, or have signed up for our newsletter and supplied your e-mail address, Yahbo may occasionally send you an e-mail to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what's going on with Yahbo and our products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email, or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request, or to help us support other users. Yahbo takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of personally identifying information (PII). Unfortunately, Yahbo cannot ensure that all of your information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Policy. (for example, a third party may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, or other users of the Yahbo website may abuse or misuse your personal information). No transmission of data over the internet can be 100% secure but, you can rest assured that Yahbo will take all reasonable steps to protect your personally identifying information (PII).

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects the online privacy and personal information of children under 13 years of age. In compliance with COPPA, Yahbo does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information (PII) from children under 13 years of age. If Yahbo learn that we have inadvertently collected personally identifiable information (PII) from a child under age 13, Yahbo will delete that information as quickly as possible.

If you provide a child with access to the Yahbo website and services, you represent and warrant that you are the parent or legal guardian, or the educator or administrator of an educational institution and have obtained the necessary consents from the parent or legal guardian to provide such access.

Online Payments
Yahbo may provide paid products and/or services. In that case, we use a third-party service (PayPal) for payment processing. Yahbo will not store or collect your payment card details. Business Transfers
If Yahbo, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Yahbo goes out of business, or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third-party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Yahbo may continue to use your personally identifiable information (PII) as set forth in this policy.

Third-Party Ads
Ads appearing on the Yahbo website may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. Our "Cookie Policy" covers the use of cookies by Yahbo but does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

Policy Changes
Yahbo reserves the right to change this policy under which the Yahbo website and services is offered at anytime without prior notification, including but not limited to the charges associated with the use of the Yahbo website and services.
